In 2013 I undertook a photo-a-day project when for a year I took photographs every day and published what I considered the best shot. The talk explains my reasons for doing the project, my experiences, what I learnt from the exercise and the effect it had on my photography. The talk is amply illustrated with many of the shots which I obtained during the year. Where those images have been in competition, I also include the judge's critique. Some photos have been submitted to more than one competition, resulting in a wide range of comments which highlight the subjective differences in opinion which can frequently occur.
